Pride Flags for the Underrepresented
2010
Cindy Baker and Harley Morman
Both interested in language, symbols, and craft, Harley Morman and I embarked on a project of making pride flags for communities who don’t feel represented by existing pride flags. We decided to make a pride flag for “our community” – ladies who prefer to stay at home and sit on the couch cuddling our cats.
The stripes reflect the rainbow of diversity of the cat world.
The pink female symbols represent ladies who love ladies.
The purple couch represents our community's ‘queer’ desire for cuddling.
The white cat symbol represents all possible kitties.
